This week one of our tadpoles grew two back legs. This means they are also starting to grow lungs. by Oli This week the caterpillars formed a chrysalis. There are two of them. I think the butterflies will emerge in a few weeks. by Alessia.

Wow!!! These new changes are so cool. I had no idea that the legs on the tadpole also meant their lungs are forming!

One hatched today! We are going to release them outside once the second butterfly comes out of its chrysalis. -Mia

Oli- thanks for teaching us about the tadpoles. We are excited to see the butterflies Alessia. Do you remember when you were a caterpillar, I was the chrysalis and Siena was the butterfly? Exciting times in Rm. 178.
