Room 158 Important Information
What to bring to school:
IMPORTANT: Please label all coats, lunchboxes, backpacks, water bottles, etc. This will make for a speedy return if items are lost. Please note: there are NO toys and/or electronic devices allowed unless otherwise specified.
- A water bottle with your child’s name on it
- Headphones for devices (these will stay in the classroom unless you indicate otherwise)
- iPads - School provided devices.
- Please send your child’s school issued iPad fully charged every morning in their backpack.
- Snack - see below for more info.
- Lunch
- Please click HERE for more information about ordering lunch and for the menu
- Lunch is at 11:55
- A change of clothes
- A seasonal change of clothes should be packed in a labeled zipper bag (the gallon size ziplock bags work well for this) for your child to keep at school. Extra socks, underwear, shirt, and pants/shorts will come in handy if spills or accidents occur. These extra clothes will stay in their cubbies at school.
IMPORTANT: Please label all coats, lunchboxes, backpacks, water bottles, etc. This will make for a speedy return if items are lost. Please note: there are NO toys and/or electronic devices allowed unless otherwise specified.
Snack Time
Children should bring a small, nutritious snack to school each day. Please do not send candy or snacks containing nuts to school. Please also clearly separate your child’s lunch from their snack (i.e. snack in a separate bag). It would be helpful to label them so your child can distinguish which is snack and which is lunch. Some of our students have food allergies, so we ask that you do not send in snacks containing nuts. This will help everyone in our community stay healthy and safe. Thank you for your cooperation. |
Dismissal
Please fill out the dismissal form regarding end of day transportation for each day of the week by August 27. It is very important that we receive this by August 25th. If there is ever a change in your child’s dismissal procedure, (time, person picking up, etc.) please write a note or send an email to me the day before. If we do not have written permission, we will follow your child’s original schedule. If there is a change for the same day, please call the office instead of emailing me and they will deliver the message. I am not always able to check email between 8-2:40. |
Home Folder - Home/School Communication
Your child will receive a “Home folder” on the first day of school. Please check it nightly and return it daily. If you have any notes or paperwork to return, please put them in the Home Folder. Please let bringing the folder to school be the responsibility of your child. Naturally, your child may need guidance in the beginning. However, please work with your child so they develop this responsibility. Please offer reminders if needed; the folder must come to school each day. Thank you! In your child’s Home Folder, you will receive information that will update you on the happenings in the classroom and the school. Sometimes you may receive directions to family games or ideas that you can try at home. We encourage you to keep a separate folder for the activities that we send home so your child will know where the materials are. |
