This week in school....
- Eleonora shared about her weekend with Pigeon. Rama is taking home Piggie this weekend. Have fun Rama!
- Mrs. Schwarm bought a Plantarium Garden lab with space age growing gel. It is a life-giving ecosystem in which seeds germinate! We planted the seeds in the special gel today and we will continue to observe them over the next few weeks. Ask your child what we are growing.
- we went to an assembly called Sol Y Canto.
- we learned about Raz Kids. Information on how to log in is in your child’s home folder. This is another option for reading at home! Enjoy!
- One of our butterflies emerged from the Chrysilis! We released it this afternoon!
- We are earning focus points for paying attention and staying on task!
- we have learned about the life cycles of both plants and butterflies.
- Amber is here! Amber is an albino corn snake. She will stay in our room with us for a few weeks. We LOVE her!
- we had our unit 2 Fundations assessment today (look for it in your child’s folder on Monday). We will start unit 3 next week.
- We finished star name! On Tuesday, we all went out and did star name together. Check out the video below!
- the PTC generously gave us 6 amazing chairs to use in the classroom! Thank you PTC!
- We learned how to bring our stories to life by unfreezing our characters. We can add motion lines and word bubbles.
- During independent reading, we start off reading our JRBs and then we move on to our high interest books. Everyone has JRBs now in their book bin. Ask your child what a JRB is.
- since we are done with star name, we move right on to quiet time after lunch.
- we know that a sentence starts tall, the rest is small and then PUNCTUATION!
