- Anderson led morning meeting today! Great job!
- Sasha and Nicholas got to bring home a Mo stuffy this week.
- Ellie, Zak, and Sophia got to blog this week.
- we had a mystery reader! Thank you Mr. Cunningham for coming in to read to us!
- we went to a Memorial Day assembly.
- we had an early release day
- we had field day! Thank you to all of the parents who were able to come and help run the activities!
- we started readers theater in reading workshop! We are working on reading with expression, our fluency, reading together, being prepared our lines, putting a lot of effort and practice into our performances and reading in a loud and clear voice.
- we did three different plays for the class. Ask your child who they read with.
- we learned how to use a compass rose on a map. We learned about the 4 directions (ask your child what they are) and we played a game.
- we celebrated Will’s birthday!
- in writing we learned how to show and not tell by using lots of details and describing words.
- we had a fire drill. Ask your child how we get out of the building calmly, quietly, and safely.
- Amber left. She is now in a 5th grade classroom and we miss her. We did get to touch her again before she left though.
- we practiced using place value to compare numbers.
- we learned how to read and mark multisyllabic words.
