ST Math @ home - Please let me know if you are having any problems with the program!
Have your child start their math time with either a counting collection or a concept circle. Click on the pictures below for a PDF of both sheets.
- Counting Collections: Take a group of something (ie: legos, buttons, coins, magnets, etc). Students will estimate, count, and show their thinking.
- Concept Circle: roll a die twice to get a double digit number. Put that number in the middle of the circle and then your child will show 6 other ways to show that number (ie: tally, number bond, math sentence, coins, base 10 blocks, etc)
- We are working on data collection and creating graphs to show our data. Have your child gather some type of information (ex. How many chairs, couches, benches are in our house). Transfer the information into a graph. Then discuss what they notice and wonder about the graph. (Which group has the least? the most? what's the difference between two of the groups? etc)
- Practice math facts
